Gamma/Beta Factors Tab (LFD)
You can also modify or review the gamma and/or beta factors by selecting the Gamma/Beta Factors tab on the Analysis Factors. The default gamma and beta factors will appear in the text boxes on the screen. To modify these, type over the existing values. For more information, see AASHTO Standard (LFD) Code, Table 3.22.1A.
Live Load Group
Specify which loading group(s) is to be used. Art. 3.22.

Group 1
Select this option if you want to use Load Group 1. Typically, Load Group 1 is selected. -
Group 1/1A
Select this option if you want to use Load Groups 1 and 1A. For all loadings less than H20, Art. 3.5.1 indicates that you must perform an analysis for Group 1A. At each section along the beam under consideration, the critical of these two loading groups will be used. For Group 1A, only one lane is assumed to be occupied, according to Art. 3.5.1. -
Group 1B
Select this option if you want to use Load Group 1B, in which case the factors for Group 1B will be used. This load group is typically used for an overload that is selected by the operating agency.
